Volunteer:

We schedule two major cleanups in our wetlands each year, one in the Fall in conjunction with the statewide California Coastal Cleanup Day, and one in early March to remove the trash and debris that washes down the flood channels with the winter rain storms. This year's Coastal Cleanup is scheduled for September 25, 2010. We also periodically schedule "Restoration Saturdays" for help in our native plant nursery, help with weed and trash removal, and assistance with other ongoing maintenance tasks. Please call or email us for more information about these and other volunteer opportunities.

For information about volunteering at the Wildlife Care Center, or to request a tour of the Center, please call (714)374-5587. Training classes are scheduled periodically for volunteers interested in caring for sick and injured wildlife. The Wildlife Care Center is operated by a separate non-profit organization.

Docent Walks:

Tours of Brookhurst and Magnolia marshes can be arranged by contacting us by phone or email. A public trail along Talbert Marsh is always open and can be accessed from the Santa Ana River bike path or from Brookhurst Street.
